About Our Organization
The Global Institute for Rehabilitation Inc Researchers (GIFR) are
dedicated to addressing the complex issue of narcotic drug addiction and its associated with infectious diseases in Afghanistan. Leveraging decades of research and expertise from Afghan American professionals, GIFR has developed a unique and comprehensive treatment solution that is unprecedented in its approach.
Background
For four decades, since 1979 in the Soviet–Afghan War, Afghanistan became a country in crisis. The Human Development Report, in 2018 stated that Statistical Update placed Afghanistan 168th out of 189 countries in the Human Development Index. The nation’s most pressing problems include:
- The massive land under-utilization of agricultural are (less than 30% is cultivated)
- A severe shortage of irrigation systems, since most of it were damaged or destroyed in the war
- Although, widespread lack of safe drinking water (95% of the rural population has no access to safe drinking water)
- A very low literacy level: only 44% of adult males, and only 13% of adult females, can read and write
- Unemployment, extremely limited employment opportunities
- As a result of unwanted war, a high percentage of the population (4%) are physically disabled, this fact basically indirectly affects as higher as 10% of other people family members and their communities as well.

At GIFR, our mission is to provide effective treatment for drug-addicted individuals, helping them recover and lead healthy, sober lives. - Education and Awareness: We are committed to educating communities about the dangers of drug addiction and infectious diseases, promoting awareness about prevention and available treatment options.
- Online Educantion for Afghanistan woman and empowerment And in online teaching, we can introduce Afghan women and girls to modern education so that they can connect with the world and can get jobs in different parts of the world from the same topics taught online and earn money for themselves. which includes all technological subjects so that they can access their education and reference online
- Rehabilitation and Reintegration: We support individuals in their transition back into society post-recovery, offering resources and assistance to rebuild their lives.
- Research and Development: Our ongoing research aims to improve treatment methods and develop innovative solutions, ensuring we stay at the forefront of addiction treatment.
- Advocacy and Support: We advocate for global support and funding to carry out our treatment agenda, seeking official and financial backing to implement and sustain our unique treatment solutions.
